We are dedicated to cultivating community and weaving environmental, health, biology, and economic fields of study.
We seek to become a platform to educate members on region specific (Binghamton) concerns and large-scale societal-level environmental challenges.
We seek to mobilize members to take ACTION in reducing the ecological footprint at Binghamton and to build a more sustainable and resilient future
We are looking for interested students to join our initiative and help expand our mission.
Environmental CHANGE (Collective Health Advocates and a Natural Green Economy) is a group of students with a shared interest in the linkages between the environment and human health who are focused on cultivating community and weaving environmental, health, biology, and economic fields of study to build a more sustainable and resilient future. We serve as a forum for discussion and a source of information on environmental issues in hopes of spreading awareness and training Binghamton students to become advocates for these issues. We welcome all interested students and faculty to join our initiative and invite newcomers to help expand our mission!
This organization is dedicated to help achieve a sustainable world by hosting educational and social activities, engaging in broader community awareness-raising events, providing opportunities for advocacy through collaboration, and discussing approaches to address region specific (Binghamton) concerns and large-scale societal-level environmental challenges such as air and water pollution/toxicity, climate change, environmental toxicology, food insecurity, deforestation, and natural resource scarcity worsening by the day.
Environmental CHANGE’s education and networking support spans many areas including discussion topics for decreasing the ecological footprint at Binghamton University, community service, sustainable finance, environmental health, research opportunities… Meetings consist of outreach events, guest speakers, field surveys, discussion-based dialogue, and other activities that encourage members to explore the environment around Binghamton. Finally, we seek to enrich our members through fun and memorable experiences.
